Many ways to play, one card pool

1 vs 1 · Competitive

Constructed

The main format. One Contender, a 50–60 card deck, up to 4 copies of each card, and a 0–15 card sideboard.

  • Banned cards are not allowed in competitive play at Tier 1–4 events.
  • Pro Tour Swiss rounds mix constructed and draft.
Limited

Draft

Open packs, pick cards and build on the spot. Ancient Alphas, Echoes of Eternity and Draft Box 01 are built to be drafted.

Limited

Sealed

Build a deck from a fixed pool of packs. Good for release events.

Team 3v3

Dominion

Two teams of three line up their Contenders Left, Center and Right, with three Portals between the lines. Defeating the enemy Center is the only way to win. Dominion debuted at Pro Tour: North America 2026.

  • Each player brings one Contender, a 50–60 card deck and a 0–15 card sideboard.
  • Deckbuild Pact: no two teammates share a Contender, and no card name appears more than four times across the team (once for Unrivaled cards).
  • Positions are declared at registration and stay fixed for the event.
Multiplayer

Gambit

The format used at Progenitor's Gambit events. Dominion is built as an extension of the Gambit multiplayer format.

Co-op

PvE Raids

Co-op play against a Boss deck: Siege of the Forgotten (1–5 players) and The Vault Trials (1–4 players, Standard and Heroic modes). The Vault Trials decks are also fully playable head to head.

Event · Co-op

PvE Gauntlet

A whole room against one boss. Every table plays its own Vault Trials Classic Encounter, and every point scored at any table damages the Community Guardian Angel, which has one shared health total. Thresholds stack as the room deals damage. It debuted at ClashCon 2025 and returned at Pro Tour: North America 2026.

  • Players chase the highest personal point total and the PvE Gauntlet Champion title.
  • No two players at a table may use the same Contender, so bring more than one deck.
